Short vacation

Last Week Smadar and I had a short Vacation to the north.
We spend three wonderful and relaxing days in the north, we saw some beautiful places and had great fun.Here are some high lights of around 400 pictures I shot.
Some pictures I made I've been dreaming to make for a long time already and some others I was just lucky to be on the right place on the right time.

This one is one of my favorites, I just love this picture.

Strawberries

After a long time not posting an new work I thought it really was about time for some new photo's. After getting my studio equipment I use it a lot for smadars works but this time I did something different. And as you see in the last picture I very much enjoyed it.

Bike Photografy

As I promised last time. This morning I went for another ride in the Forrest and this time I took my camera with me. It was a bit of a hassle with the camera bag but it made up for all the times I said to myself: What a shame I didn't bring my camera. I Really enjoyed being out in the nature doing the things I love to do, biking and photographing. This time I also posted a short video where you can see me (and the bag) going down a small "drop". In the first picture you can see a friend of mine doing a jump and I'm "panning" him with the camera, what gives the effect of the background in motion and he's like frozen in the air. The rest of the pictures are taken by my friends capturing me enjoying the ride.

combined hobby's

Since I started working in my new job I don't have so much time anymore for my photography and I found a new hobby beside photography which is biking. Yesterday I went to change the tire of the bike and I came home with a new bike lol. I got a great deal on this bike and leaving it there for someone else to buy it, just would be a crime!!
Today I went biking early in the morning with some friends, before the real heat starts, but we didn't get to far due to all kinds of problems with my bike and the bikes of my friends. You know, just one of these days everything goes wrong. When we finally fixed all the problems it was already to hot to start things over, so... next time.
But I found a way to combine my hobby's and here are the results. When I feel sure enough with my new bike I hope to take my camera with me and make some nice action shots of bikes and nature. Of course our dog had to inspect all the new stuff from very close.

Some new photographs I took last week. At the edge of our town is a paradise for bird lovers. You can find there all kinds off birds. Here are a few I was able to get close enough to photograph them.

Happy holiday's

Caterpillar

Next to our house is some sort of empty field. Last week when I was walking there with the dog I saw something amazing. A few nests of those caterpillars with each of them over a hundred baby caterpillars. After I brought back home the dag I grasped my camera and went back to make some pictures of it. Here are some of the results. I really don't know the name of this caterpillar but if you do you welcome to share it with me!

Nature can be very scarry

It was a nice day so I went again on a small trip, While I was having great fun just shooting some flowers and small insects,



I was even lucky (after a lot of patients ) to finally photograph some butterfly's, until now every time I got close enough they flew away, but now I just waited for them to come close to me.



After shooting some real cool butterfly's suddenly I heard a small noise right next to me, I turned my camera towards where the noise came from... focused my lens....
and got the shock of my live. something like half a meter from me...If there is one thing I'm scared of it is (you guest right) snakes!


When I shoot again I only saw his back and when I looked up to see where he was running away to. I saw he was going my way, so.....I was the one running away!!!

Winter like spring

Since I got fired from work at least I have some time to photograph now.
A few days ago I went on a small trip alone in our aria. Due to the warm and dry winter a lot of spring flowers are popping up all around. I hope the southern part of Israel soon will be as peace full and quite (after 8 years being bombed by terrorists) as these flowers.

Motor bikes

Last weekend there was a meeting of a big biker forum in our area. There were more than a 1000 visitors with almost the same amount of motorbikes. For me it was a great opportunity to make some photographs. So I called my friend Itamar and we spend there a few hours. Looking around which bike is nicer to photograph and avoiding passing by motorbikes. I made almost 200 pictures. Here are some "highlights" of that day.

Dan Forrest

Finally I went on another photo trip, After I came home early today I took my camera bag and went to a Forrest nearby. A friend of me told me about the beautiful flowers growing there in this season, but when I got there and took some shots of several flowers, A dragonfly set down close to me, I was really excited since I never photographed flying insects. Luckily she was very patient and let me take a lot of photographs of her. Here are some of the results of a wonderful trip.

Dead Sea and Dessert

Last weekend Itamar and I went on another photo trip. This time we went to the deadsea area and had a great time again. We planned to go to a place a bit up higher in the mountains surrounding the dead sea but since the place was closed we went down to the sea itself and weren't sorry for a minute.

A night out

Last week me and my friend Itamar went on a spontaneous trip to try our new camera's at night. We went to Jerusalem and made a whole lot of pictures, some came out nice som not at all. Making pictures in the dark is quite new for me and is not the same as during daylight. We kept on until around 5.00 in the morning and really enjoyed it.
